PETE&C Ning Community Guidelines
The purpose of the PETE&C Ning is to create an atmosphere of learning, networking, and educational exploration that extends beyond the PETE&C Conference. Modeled after the NECCning guidelines, the following are the fundamental rules for participating in the PETE&C Ning. The PETE&C Social Networking Committee reserves the right to remove any content or to ban any participant who does not follow the spirit of these community guidelines:
- Appropriate Content: Please use good common sense when posting content and participating in discussions. This includes, but is not limited to, the following guidelines:
- Commercial Content: The purpose of the Ning is for open exchange of information among members. Commercial content is encouraged only when it contributes a resource to a discussion or group. PETE&C values the support of it’s vendors and will provide space for vendor information. We also value the privacy of our members. Please do not engage in "hard selling" or send unsolicited, product-focused messages to multiple members.
- Respect: Please treat all other community members with respect. Avoid personal attacks, slurs, profanity, vulgarity or abuse in your comments. It is expected that group members will have differing opinions and backgrounds. Healthy disagreement is encouraged. However, anyone making insulting, harassing, or personally disrespectful comments will be asked to desist, and if necessary, will be banned from the network.
Thank you for following these Community Guidelines. PETE&C Ning administrators reserve the right to amend or change it at any time.
Thanks to Jennifer Ragan-Fore for permission to revise and use the NECC Ning Community Guidelines
