Pennsylvania Educational Technology Expo & Conference

Monday 10:15 am - 11:15 am
So you have seen the youtube video. Now see it work in real life. This innovative way of using a wii remote to create a smart board will be demonstrated and teachers will be taught how to create this with just a few parts from a radio shack, a wii. A lucky few will get to take home a light pen created at the conference.

Will this at all hurt my MarioKart racing times? My 3-year old is counting on his old man to keep unlocking the new karts and characters. It sounds way cool and innovative..can't wait to check it out.

Hi Tom,

I can't wait to see it! What software are you using? Did you use Johnny Lings or some other one? I have the equipment and now all I have to do is get the best software for it.
Thanks so much for offering this!

I love the idesa of the Wii remote. I would love to learn more about the issues that you ran into when using it in the classroom. I have just demod a similar device called the onfinity and would like to know if the Wii remote just as nice of a solution.

I have a smart board for real so i have not really used it but I have tried it in serveral presentaitons and as long as the screen is a wall and not a movable screen it works very well

I have a SmartBoard also, but many of my teaching partners to not. We are actually moving away from buying SmartBoards and instead just buying more projectors. All classrooms have the SmartBoard and Notebook software already installed. This seems like a great way to get the benefits of an interactive whiteboard without the cost. I was unfortunately stuck out in the hall and then had the doors closed on us, so I was not able to hear the whole presentation.
